Two for the Money is a 2005 American sports drama film starring Al Pacino, Matthew McConaughey, Rene Russo and Armand Assante. It is directed by D.J. Caruso and written by Dan Gilroy.

The film centers on Brandon Lang (McConaughey), a former college football star who, after sustaining a career-ending injury, takes a job at a sports consulting firm run by Walter Abrams (Pacino). Lang soon becomes the top earner for the business, and with Abrams help, begins to move up in the world of professional sports betting. He eventually crosses the boundary that separates the professional gambler from the businessman and as a result, he finds himself struggling with the consequences of his newfound success.

At first, Lang is hesitant to take Abrams advice, but soon embrace it and gradually learns more about the business of betting. He soon starts to win more money than ever before and is able to finance his own lifestyle. Despite the monetary gains, he begins to feel guilt and remorse over his success, leading him to question his own personal values.

Though it initially receives mixed reviews, Two for the Money is eventually praised by audiences and critics alike. The movie is now considered to be a cult classic, with a 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
