Wall Street Money Never Sleeps follows the life of millionaire financier, Gordon Gekko, after his release from prison. After eight years of incarceration, Gekko is a changed man, having reflected on his past misdeeds and vowed to make amends.

Gekko is approached by aspiring young Wall Street trader Jacob Moore, who is engaged to his daughter Winnie. Jacob desperately seeks Gekko’s help to raise the capital needed to save his mentor, Louis Zabel’s, investment bank from bankruptcy. Jacob believes that by doing so he can also get revenge on the rival banker Bretton James, who caused Zabel’s downfall.

Despite his initial reluctance, Gekko agrees to help Jacob and attempts to pull together the financing he needs. After investing heavily in a mysterious energy company, Gekko finds himself personally pursued by the FBI, who are investigating insider trading. As Gekkos reputation is once again called into question, he finds himself at the mercy of those he thought he had left behind in his quest for redemption.

In the end, Gekko must face up to these challenges and make a decision between making money and doing the right thing. With the help of Jacob, Winnie and Zabel, Gekko ultimately learns that money isn’t always the answer and that true redemption can only be found in doing what’s right.
