Killer Elite is a 2011 action thriller directed by Gary McKendry and starring Jason Statham, Clive Owen, Robert De Niro, and Yvonne Strahovski. The film is based on the 1991 novel The Feather Men by Sir Ranulph Fiennes.

The story follows Danny (Statham), a former Special Air Service soldier and expert assassin, who is recruited by a secret society known as The Feather Men. The society is comprised of retired Special Air Service personnel who act as a covert vigilante organization, protecting the secrets of their members by any means necessary. Forced by a former comrade-in-arms (De Niro) to assassinate three people who wronged him in the past, Danny is caught in a dangerous game of cat and mouse with an assassin of his own (Owen) and the justice system.

Danny is forced to make a major decision as he decides whether to sever his ties to The Feather Men or stand by and continue his mission, risking both his own life and the lives of those close to him. With the help of his mentor, Hunter (Aden Young), Danny fights for his own survival and redemption, and discovers the secrets of the past that have haunted him for years.

As Danny and Hunter take on their mission, they end up uncovering a much bigger plot than they had anticipated. Its a conspiracy that could topple governments and alter the balance of power in the world. As they unravel the mystery behind the assassinations, they must take on powerful enemies, including a ruthless intelligence agency called C.O.I.N.

With the plot more complicated than ever, Danny and Hunter must use all of their skills and courage to survive the mission and to ultimately come out on top. As the action builds throughout the movie, viewers are forced to ponder the moral implications of their protagonists actions, as he must decide between personal redemption and the greater good. Will Danny emerge as an unlikely hero or will he take the consequences of his deadly mission?
